How to Work with a Spiritual or Transformational Coach by Jeff Caliguire

Updated: Aug 17, 2023

I’ve been teaching for over 7 years now on how to be a coach…

How about how to work with a spiritual or transformational coach?

No one wants to hire a coach and waste their time and money… and “not have it work!” True?

“What is a spiritual or transformational coach?” in the first place?

Well, in a nutshell, a spiritual or transformational coach is a person who journeys with you to reach your destination. It is one equipped to operate from a place seeking to unlock your deepest and most lasting changes and lasting achievements.

Very importantly such coaching starts by helping you tune into God’s still small voice (whisper) in your life and engaging the purpose and results you’ve been created to achieve…

…in life, leadership, business, career, relationships, health….

We believe you were created, gifted, and even prepared for something that’s been “planned in advance for you to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) We can and must “be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” (Romans 12:2)

Your trained spiritual and transformational coach believes there’s no coincidences or wasted learnings, lives or even painful failures. As you become more aware, you better employ and deploy yourself and put even your pain to work for good. Even the seeming “bad stuff” gets used for good.

We believe that this point forward you can experience greater and ever increasing transformation and greater

· Peace

· Purpose

· Joy

· Hope (and not depression)

· Clarity of God’s direction and calling (often including work and career, but not limited)

· Positivity, victory over negativity. (What we call “Healing Negativity”)

· Courageous Mindset

· Soul health (overcoming the effects of soul neglect and hurried and rushed pace of life)

· And more…

The goal of such coaching is not to encourage you to do less or achieve nothing. (Coaches are about movement from where you are to a better place) Just the opposite, we actively seek to help you intentionally create your significant success. Live your holistic God-given potential from an authentic place – inside out. Integrate mind, body, and soul as a way of life.

Spiritual and Transformational Coaches help unlock you to become more conscious of not only of what’s happening in your life, but also what God is doing in your life.

No More Silent Sleepwalking

Too many people silently sleepwalk through their lives, their leadership and especially their work.

And here’s the kicker… most of us are only almost totally unconscious of those thoughts! (About 5% of our thoughts are recognized consciously!)

One statistic says that most people experience 95% of the same thoughts they had yesterday! Of the 60 to 80,000 thoughts most have in a day, 80% of them will be negative!

Do you think we need help? Do you think we need to become aware? Conscious?

So how should you work with such a coach? Here are 5 keys to making your experience powerful and lasting!

1. Ask at Least One Person to Pray for You

If you believe prayer changes things AND changes us, then seek out those who pray. There really are people in this world who believe one of their key purposes is to pray for others. (Some call it the gift of intercession)

2. Come to Coaching Expecting Breakthrough

Your own expectant mindset and confidence that things can be made new matters. The prophet Isaiah prophesied that God sought to create a “new thing.” “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:19)

The past is gone. TODAY is a new day and the future is a clean slate for you!

3. Relax and Breathe

Don’t worry that the process won’t work or that you will waste your coaching investment. Release your fears and before your session, spend at least 5 minutes just relaxing, releasing, and breathing. (Your coach can teach you how to do this.)

4. Go to the Deepest and Most Authentic Places

When in doubt, express what is most honest. No, don’t be negative or doubting and fearful on purpose. Trust your coach to keep your confidence and establish a safe place for you and address your real questions, thoughts, and emotions without shaming or judging you.

5. Be Willing to Commit

There will come times in your coaching session where your coach will likely ask you, “Will you commit to do it?” “Will you take action?”

And believe it or not, most who know what to do… still don’t or won’t. You will though. Commit with what we call a “full body yes.” This will bring about the results you most want, even if it feels scary or like a stretch. Go all in!

6. Spread the Word About Spiritual and Transformational Coaching!

Do tell others about your experience with transformational and spiritual coaching. Others may not know it exists or that its effective. You serve others and “caring is sharing!”

We are with you and for you!
